The Federal Government has announced the reopening of the recruitment portal for four paramilitary agencies under the Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB).

The portal, which had been temporarily suspended due to technical challenges, is now accessible to applicants as of July 21, 2025.

In a statement on Monday, the CDCFIB explained that the suspension was necessary to upgrade the system to accommodate the high volume of applications and ensure a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process.

“We sincerely apologize for the interruption in the application submission process. Due to the high volume of applications, it was necessary to enhance the system,” the Board stated.

Applicants who had already begun their submissions have been advised to revisit the portal to complete their applications.

Addressing concerns over missing local government areas in the selection menu, the Board assured applicants that the issue is being addressed and updates would be made to the portal accordingly.

The CDCFIB reiterated its commitment to a fair, merit-driven recruitment exercise and expressed appreciation for the interest shown by Nigerians in joining the country’s security and emergency services.
