Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta, has provided a positive fitness update on summer signings Viktor Gyokeres and Martin Zubimendi ahead of Sunday’s Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.
Gyokeres joined the Gunners from Sporting CP, while Zubimendi arrived from Real Sociedad during the transfer window.
Arteta revealed that both players are in good condition and could be involved in the match, easing concerns over their fitness and adaptation to the squad.
“He [Gyokeres] is getting better and better every day.
“He is normally a really fit player and he has had the small moments in two games [in pre-season] with us so let’s see what he brings on Sunday.
“Martin [Zubimendi] has had a great integration into the team and we are really happy with him. He will be fit for Sunday,” Arteta said.
