Veteran music producer and Mavin Records boss, Don Jazzy, has reflected on the personal sacrifices that came with his rise to the top of Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
Speaking on the Echo Podcast, the 42-year-old said while he has no regrets about his career, one aspect he may have unconsciously given up is marriage.
“I never thought I’d be in my 40s and not married. Maybe that’s the one I lost along the way. If it comes, it comes. If it doesn’t, I’m totally fine,” he said.
Don Jazzy, who has helped shape the careers of artists such as Tiwa Savage, Rema and Ayra Starr, noted that even if he were not a record label executive, his life would still revolve around music.
Despite the trade-offs, he stressed that he feels deeply fulfilled with what he has achieved in the industry.
