Former Kaduna Central Senator Shehu Sani has claimed that the newly formed opposition coalition under the African Democratic Congress, ADC, carries the political DNA of both the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and the All Progressives Congress, APC.
Sani made the remark on Tuesday, arguing that the coalition is not fundamentally different from the two dominant parties.
The opposition coalition, which recently adopted the ADC as its official platform, includes several prominent politicians such as former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation Babachir Lawal, former Senate President David Mark, former Osun State Governor Rauf Aregbesola, and former Rivers State Governor Rotimi Amaechi.
Commenting on X, Sani wrote: “Some people came with the DNA of the ruling party and some with the DNA of the PDP and gave birth to the coalition. And you say that baby is different.”
