A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC, Biodun Ajiboye, has said President Bola Tinubu would not be pursuing the sweeping reforms currently underway if he lacked courage and resolve.

Ajiboye made the remarks on Monday while fielding questions during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, where he assessed the president’s leadership style and reform agenda.

He said, “Give me one person that has the ability and bravery of Tinubu. If Bola Tinubu were a timid person, he would not undertake most of the reforms he’s undertaking.

“This is a patriot who believes that the lives of Nigerians are more important than his returning to power in 2027. He’s been truthful and honest with the Nigerian people. He’s taking the bull by the horns.

“Now tell me, among the opposition, one person that you think has the kind of intellect, bravery, and knowledge Tinubu has? Which state in Nigeria can compare with Lagos as we speak?”

Ajiboye argued that the scale and political risk of the current reforms reflect a leadership willing to place national interest above personal ambition, describing Tinubu’s approach as one driven by conviction rather than caution.
