Prominent Billionaire investor and Igbere-born philanthropist, Dr. Chima Desmond Anyaso, has joined the growing chorus of voices from the Ukwa La Ngwa region in applauding the developmental strides of Abia State Governor, His Excellency Dr. Alex Otti, OFR.

Speaking to journalists during the Grand Civic Reception held at Enyimba International Stadium, Dr. Anyaso—popularly known as Ofuji Ndị Igbo—asserted that the Governor’s performance has fundamentally shifted the trajectory of the state.

> “Governor Otti is truly deserving of these accolades,” Anyaso stated. “He has profoundly impacted and transformed the narrative of Abia across nearly every sector, justifying the confidence the people have placed in him.”

The event, organized by the Ukwa La Ngwa Bloc, served as both a celebration of current achievements and a definitive political statement. The group formally endorsed Governor Otti for a second term in 2027, with leadership pledging to personally fund the purchase of his nomination forms.

Addressing the energized crowd, Governor Otti expressed deep gratitude for the homecoming reception, noting the significance of being honored by one’s own people.

“There is a saying that a prophet is without honor in his own country,” the Governor remarked. “The best reception is the one from our own people. I want to thank the organizers and the team who have pledged to purchase the form for the 2027 election. This support is not taken for granted.”

The spokesperson for the Ukwa La Ngwa people, Chief Theo Nkire, lauded the Governor for revolutionizing the state’s economy, specifically highlighting the transformation of Aba from a commercial outpost into a budding “world-class industrial hub.”

The endorsement was further solidified by the Traditional Rulers of the Ukwa La Ngwa Nation, who presented the Governor with symbolic gifts. In a powerful joint declaration, the monarchs affirmed their total support for Otti’s administration, stating emphatically that the region would “not go back to Egypt”—a reference to the state’s previous political eras.

The reception drew a massive turnout of dignitaries, captains of industry, and political stakeholders from across Nigeria, signaling a unified front behind the Governor’s “Rebuilding Abia” agenda.
