Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has approved fresh appointments and promotions into key state government agencies.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the governor’s spokesperson Sanusi Bature.
According to the statement, the appointments include Abubakar Matawalle as Acting Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board.
Others listed are Yusuf Mukhtar who was promoted to the rank of Permanent Secretary, Rahama Malam Alhaji appointed as Provost of the Kano State Anti Corruption Institute, and Aina’u Ade who was promoted to Senior Special Assistant on Kanywood Affairs.
Bature noted that Matawalle is a seasoned administrator who previously served as Executive Secretary of the Pilgrims Welfare Board and as Permanent Secretary Establishment.
He added that Rahama Malam Alhaji is a highly accomplished legal practitioner with experience in litigation, corporate law and regulatory compliance, while Aina’u Ade’s promotion was based on her outstanding performance in office.
Governor Yusuf urged the appointees to justify the confidence placed in them by discharging their duties with dedication, transparency and loyalty to the Kano First agenda.
