The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has ordered that the Abuja Airport Road be linked to Tunga Madaki and nearby communities.
Wike gave the directive during an on-the-spot inspection of the ongoing road construction project in the area.
In a brief update on Wednesday, the minister’s media aide, Lere Olayinka, said Wike personally assessed the newly constructed road intended to connect the Airport corridor with Tunga Madaki and other parts of the FCT.
According to Olayinka, the minister also directed that construction work should commence on extending the road towards Zuba to improve connectivity and ease movement within the territory.
Wike noted that the Federal Capital Territory has witnessed significant transformation since President Bola Ahmed Tinubu assumed office, stressing that the current administration has made notable progress in infrastructure development across Abuja.
