The National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ajibola Basiru, has stated that the African Democratic Congress is disputing the credibility of the Federal Capital Territory elections because its candidates suffered decisive defeats.

Basiru made the remarks on Tuesday during an interview on Prime Time on Arise Television.

He maintained that while the APC focuses on mobilization, organization, building structures, and strategic planning, other political actors have failed to demonstrate similar seriousness.

“Most of the time, people turn themselves to comedians because they are in the political space.

“We just had an election two weeks ago, and they are still saying the elections were not free and fair because their candidates lost woefully.

“Before the election, we saw them saying that the signpost for the 2027 election is the FCT polls. Out of 62 councilorship seats, they can’t win one. Out of six chairmanship seats, they can’t win one.

“On that same day, two bye elections were held in Rivers and Kano states each and were won by the APC,” he said.
