Victor Osimhen and members of Galatasaray met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Monday night as part of the club’s championship celebrations.
The visit took place at the Presidential Dolmabahçe Working Office following Galatasaray’s successful title winning campaign.
The club delegation, led by president Dursun Aydın Özbek and manager Okan Buruk, was received by Erdoğan in recognition of the team’s achievement.
Osimhen played a major role in Galatasaray’s title triumph, helping the club secure a fourth consecutive league crown with one match remaining in the season.
The Nigerian striker scored 15 goals and provided five assists in 22 appearances during the campaign.
Speaking during the reception, Osimhen expressed appreciation to the Turkish president for hosting the team.
He said, “Thank you very much for receiving us. It is always a great pleasure to be in your presence.
“As our president mentioned, we must secure the cup to meet you in person.”
Osimhen permanently joined Galatasaray last summer after an impressive loan spell and signed a four year contract that will keep him at the club until June 30, 2029.
