The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has updated its official portal, replacing the names of Ahmed Yayari and Daniel Woyengikuro as the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary, respectively.

A review of the commission’s records shows that Odeyemi Mackson Oladiran and Eyim Donatus Henry have now been listed as the party’s National Treasurer and National Financial Secretary.

The development comes amid the continuing leadership dispute within the PDP, which has seen rival factions laying claim to key positions within the party’s national structure.

Yayari and Woyengikuro are identified with the faction backed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde, while Oladiran and Henry are aligned with the camp associated with the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike.

INEC had previously reflected the recognition of the Wike aligned faction by listing Abdulrahman Mohammed as National Chairman and Samuel Anyanwu as National Secretary on its portal. However, the names of Yayari and Woyengikuro had remained unchanged until the latest update.

With the recent adjustments, all officials currently listed on INEC’s portal as members of the PDP National Executive appear to be aligned with the faction associated with the FCT Minister.

The update is expected to further influence ongoing discussions surrounding the party’s internal leadership structure as stakeholders continue efforts to resolve the protracted crisis within the opposition party.
