Worried by the risen state of Kidnapping and Armed Robbery in the State,the Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu has emulated the Federal Government Whistle Blowing Policy which rewards those with concrete Information about a violation, misconduct or improper activity that impacts negatively on the Nigerian people and Government .
Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in a Press Conference today at the Government House Umuahia frowned at the increasing spate of Kidnapping and Robbery in the state which he vowed to put to a Final Stop.
Ikpeazu promised N1m reward for any useful information that will lead to arrest of kidnappers and N1m Reward for security officers after a successful crackdown on kidnappers and criminals anywhere in Abia State.
The State Governor who just returned from an economic trip to China also commiserated with those who lost their loved one’s at the Aba Waterside over the recklessness on the part of Revenue agents.
Ikpeazu made it clear that he considers the life of every Abian more valuable than revenue and stated that if it means banning the collection of flying revenue to preserve the lives of our people, government will not hesitate to do it.
