Yesterday,Evangel Theological Seminary a Tertiary Institution owned by Assemblies Of God Nigeria in Jos Plateue State Capital graduated 180 trained Ministers of the Gospel who had succesfully gone through Pastoral Training Christian Religious Studies, Pastoral Ethics among others.
Among the 180 who graduated yesterday were 115 Post Graduate Students who Succesfully Completed and Defended their P.hd and Masters Degree Project and found worthy in Character and Learning to be awarded Degrees by Evangel Theological Seminary JOS.
The Graduation Ceremony which was the 18th in its Series held at the Robert Holmes Chapel Evangel Theological Seminary JOS and had in attendance the Assistant General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim among others in attedance.
Speaking during the Graduation Ceremony,the Assistant General Superintendent Rev Pst Ejikeme Ejim urged the New Graduands to balance their Ministry with Spirituality and Humanity.
“What prepares The Church for the second coming of Jesus is not grammar, rhetorics. oratory, degrees or certificates, but your personal work and walk with God.
“BA, PGDT, MA, PhD in Church administration, Missions, Christian Education, or Theology is not PhD in Spiritual Maturity or Humility or Servanthood.
“Always have the consciousness of Godliness with character, living your life as an example in all”
“Remain in consecrated prayers, keep abiding in daily medication of the word of God and encourage one another in patience and faith to show approved your calling as Christians”
The Graduation Ceremony attracted over 1000 including the Governor of Plataeue State who was Represented by his Special Adviser on Inter-Party Affairs and Government Non-Governmental Organisation Relations Elder Jerry Werr.
