Rev John A Ikpe has been Elected the New Badagry District Superintendent at the Bye-Election of the District Presided over by Rev Chidi Okoroafor(PhD) General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria in Lagos.
Before his Election Rev Ikpe was the Assistant District Superintendent of the District.
Although the Badagry District Council held in 2017, The Outgoing District Superintendent Rev Henry Ogbonnaya was directed by the Executive Committee to Resign since he will be attaining the mandatory Retirement age of 70 Before 2020 When the Tenure of the current Presbytery would Expire.
The the retiring District Superintendent Rev Dr Henry Ogbonnaya thanked the constituency for the opportunity given to serve the Church as a District Superintendent.
Elected alongsideRev Dr John Ikpe as the Badagary Superintendent,were Rev Pius Udoh as the Assistant District Superintendent and Rev C Akpoteh was elected as a Presbyter.
