Kaduna State Governor Mallam Nasir Ahmad el-Rufai has Ordered the Immediate Re-opening of Assemblies Of God Churches’ locked by the State Government back to the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor as General Superintendent.
Yesterday Thursday 19th April 2018,the Leaders of the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria in Kaduna State alongside with the Troublers of the Church were invited by State Government concerning re-opening of Assemblies Of God Churches.
The Meeting Chaired by the Kaduna State Director of Inter-faith Enger Namadi Musa had in attendance Four persons from the General Council of Assemblies Of God Nigeria and Four from Former Pastors of the Church instigated by Rev Yakubu Pam,a former Jos Mainland District Superintendent.
The State Government Directed that the Properties should be Opened for those who were incharge of the and who won at the Supreme Court on the 24th of February 2017,stages.
According to the Government, the Re-opening will be on Stages, stage one will be Reopening of the Churches that were lock by the State Government when thugs loyal to Rev Paul Emeka started Invaded Assemblies Of God Churches between 2014 and 2016.
The Inter Faith Chairman announced that the Churches be opened to Pastors who were Incharge before Now.
However the State Government said it was Shocked to Receive a Letter by Rev Yakubu Pam the self-acclaimed Chairman of the Northern Christian Association of Nigeria asking them to Destroy all the Properties with Buldozer.
Simon Jimoh,Ishaku from Kaduna ,Mr John Ladan from Saminaka and one Silas Daluk,all said they will not accept the Directives of the State Government but asked that all the Properties to be under Lock or Kaduna Government should Demolished or that the Properties belonging to Assemblies Of God Nigeria be turned into Mosque.
But the Chairman of Inter-faith Engr. Namadi Musa Shouted on them and told that they are not Christians and said he will Inform the Governor that this is what the so called Pastors are advising the Government.
