The defeated APGA gubernatorial candidate in 2015 Dr. Alex Otti yesterday invited the media aide of the President Mr Femi Adesina to commission an NDDC project which Otti claimed he attracted.
The road which is 30% completed leads to the Isialangwa home of the former banker. A look at the project shows that it has no drainage in the flooding area which accounts to why Abia State government has rejected most of the NDDC projects in the State.
Observers were dissapointed and asked why Otti who has also boasted of building lasting projects if elected, could invite a media aide who he claimed represented the President to commission an uncompleted project.
“If not for political conveinece, what could make Otti stoop this low to lie to Abians and make mockery of himself. We know Abia is an NDDC state, it shouldn’t be a big deal for NDDC to tidy a work in one of their member states ” Mr Amuta said.
Another Villager Mr Onyedikachi Ugbogu from same community has this to say:
“This is my problem with our so called politicians. What is the essence of commissioning a road that is even yet to be 30% completed. For the avoidance of doubt as at yesterday, construction work on that road ended at Umuru junction where Dr. Otti happens to reside. From Umuru, Umumbele, Umungalagu, Umuaro, Amaku, Eziala and Nbawsi are yet to witness even the wheels of a grader. A portion that constitute about 70% of the project.
I’m utterly disappointed by this.
Is this what Dr Otti will offer Abians if elected to govern the state tomorrow . God forbid.”
Many Abians have taken to their facebook to reject the political gamji Dr. Alex Otti is introducing in Abia politics. Commissioning of uncompleted and substandard road is long gone.
Abians deserve better road projects with drainage systems to compliment what Dr. Victor Ikpeazu is building in Abia.
Can president Buhari possibly send a media aide to commission an NDDC project when his minister for Niger Delta Affairs, Chairman NDDC and his adviser were in Abia for a Program?
I asked again, how can Buhari send a media aide to come and commission an uncompleted project?
One more question, Buhari came to Abia through his media aide to commission an uncompleted project…that chieftaincy title, is it for Buhari or his media aide.
