Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu was yesterday at the National MSME Awards Nite held at the Presidential Villa Aso Rock given award for fostering MSME development and Economic,Business Growth in Abia state.
It will be recalled that Abia state government under the leadership of Dr Okezie Ikpeazu sent 30 Abia youths to China to go and learn more on shoe making, on their arrival back from China Governor Ikpeazu bought and installed heavy machines in Abia state to help them in producing more quality shoes and other leather products.
Receiving the award on behalf of the Governor, the Deputy Governor of Abia state Rt Hon Ude Oko Chukwu thanked the Office of the Vice President for bringing up the programme which have resurrected the SMEs business in the country as he give kudos to his Boss the Governor of Abia state who is the number one Marketer of Made in Aba Nigeria products for his wonderful performance on the area of supporting SMEs and for providing both Security and Power for our entrepreneurs…
The Deputy Governor further commended the focal person of MSME in Abia state Mr Chinenye Nwaogu for the great job he has been doing in that sector.
The Deputy Chief of Staff to the Governor Chief Ukpai Agwu Ukpai PhD,The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Job Creation and Youth development Mr Chinenye Nwaogu and many other top government officials were present during the ceremony.
