All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze in a press statement circulated to the Media on Sunday notes with sadness that the judgement to be delivered by Hon justice Chiwendu Nworgu of the State High Court in Port Harcourt the Rivers State capital in the suit filed by Senator Magnus Abe and his faction of APC in Rivers State challenging the congresses that gave birth to the Chief Ojukaye led APC has been compromised if the exposure and boasting of the Legislative Aide Kennedy Friday to Senator Abe is anything to go by.
Eze quoted the Legislative Aide to Senator Abe as boasting in the midst of Abe’s supporters few hours ago that, “By tomorrow, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the Minister of Transportation and fake Leader of APC in Rivers State will be thought a political lesson that will end his political career in Nigeria. We have prepared the judgement to be delivered tomorrow by Hon justice Chiwendu Nworgu which we have delivered to him at his residence situated in Port Harcourt. So far we are concerned, Amaechi is a goner and Gov. Wike is a star. Let us therefore drink and celebrate the continuation of Wike as Governor of Rivers State till 2023 when he will handover to Abe as agreed”
Eze the National Publicity Secretary of the defunct New PDP (nPDP) condemned the situation where our judiciary is been compromised just to earn a leverage politically agianist a validly constituted structure like the APC in Rivers State. The boasting by this Legislative Aide to Senator Abe is uncalled for as God will not allow darkness to prevail over the light.
In this regard, We plead with Hon Nworgu not to tarnish his hard-earned credibility and allow some misguided politicians to ruin all that he has suffered to achieve all these years by delivering an unjust judgement aimed at justifying falsehood and wickedness in Rivers State.
Eze further stated that, “We have alerted the National Working Committee of APC of the unholy alliance between Gov Wike and Senator Magnus Abe aimed at destroying the Rivers State APC just to bring down Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi the Minister of Transportation because of the fear of his political rise and relationship with President Buhari.
Eze further noted that Instead of working with the facts before the APC Screening Committee, Senator Abe against all odds was cleared to contest the 29th September 2018 gubernatorial election in a party he has damaged to this extent in order to create room for Governor Wike to continue to squander the collective patrimony of the Rivers State with impunity till 2023 when he is expected to handover to Senator Abe.
Eze also further stated that the way and manner Justice Nworgu conducted himself in the matter by refusing to allow Tuduru Ede Esq to appear in the said matter before him, shows that what the Legislative Aide to Senator Abe boosted will likely come to reality tomorrow.
Eze went further to recall that Abuja High Court 14 presided over by His Lordship, Hon. Justice A. O. Musa on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 granted an Order of Perpetual Injunction restraining the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the National Chairman, His Excellency (Comrade) Adams Oshiomhole (1st and 2nd Defendants) from ‘tampering with the mandates of the elected Officials/Delegates elected at the 1st Defendant’s Ward, Local Government and State Congresses in Rivers State on May 19, 20 and 21, 2018 respectively, either by nullifying, removing or in any way refusing to give effect to the outcome of the said congresses or by purporting to conduct another congress in respect of Rivers State”. Eze further stated.
In conclusion, Eze thanked Kennedy Friday for exposing the evil plot and urged all members of APC in Rivers State not to be deterred on the arranged judgment because the only way the Ojukaye led Excos can be invalidated will be through an order of a Higher Court, which is either Court of Appeal or Supreme Court and not through the State Court presided over by Justice Nworgu which is of coordinate jurisdiction to the Abuja High Court Presided over By How. Justice A.O Musa which validated the Election of Ojukaye led Excos.
