Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike has dropped the murder charge against the Chairman of the state All Progressives Congress (APC) in Rivers State, Ojukaye Flag-Amachree.
Ojukaye Flag-Amachree, who is an ally of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, was facing murder charges before Justice Joy Akpughunum over incidents that happened in the 2015 general elections in Buguma.
Flag-Amachree is also facing similar charges before Justice Chiwendu Nworgu of the State High Court.
The trial Judge, Justice Joy Akpughunum had on Tuesday struck out the charges following a nolle prosequi entered by the Prosecution on behalf of the Attorney-General of Rivers state.
The prosecution counsel, Godwin Obla, who is a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, applied to discontinue the matter which the court granted.
But According to findings by PUO REPORTS,Mr Amachree compromised and work for the reelection of Governor Nyesom Wike against his Party the All Progressive Congress during the just concluded General elections in Rivers State.
The Post Victory Speech in April by Governor Nyesom Wike clearly showed that the APC Chairman Mr Ojukaye Flag Amachree has been in constant communication with the Rivers State Governor.
Amachree who is already rebuilding his House which is estimated for over 2Billion in Portharcourt played his own card of the game he struck with Governor Nyesom Wike.
