All the funds received from Universal Basic Education Commission for school rehabilitation will be spent in the State to support MSME in Abia state.
The Governor of Abia State stated these when he spoke on behalf of all eleven Governors at the Made in Nigeria exhibition held today at the Eagle square,Abuja.
He explained that the policy is deliberate to patronize made in Abia and made in Nigerian goods. Abia is leading the way to support and promote home grown products as a way to create wealth, develop our economy and rescue the country from the current economic difficulty.
Governor Ikpeazu pledged full support to the Acting President’s effort to encourage MSME in the country. He made it known that he believes in the ability of those hardworking and creative youths, men and women who toil night and day under very strenuous conditions to produce the beautiful things in display today.
The Governor said that he is excited that everyone is joining the choir because this is the way to go. According to him, as a State, we have continued to do our best to support MSMEs through soft loans. He went further, “The federal government should continue and improve support for MSMEs especially through financial assistance and capacity building.”
The event which featured more than 15 entrepreneurs from Abia State, had the Acting President, eleven Governors, Ministers and head of support agencies in attendance.
