The court of Appeal sitting in Owerri the IMO state capital has nullified the election of the Senator Representing Abia North Senatorial District in the National Assembly Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.

The Appeal court stated that the March 28 National Assembly election held in Abia North Senatorial District was marred by irregularities and electoral fraud.
The Appeal was brought by former governor of Abia State and candidate of the PPA Dr.Orji Uzor KALU.
It will be recalled the National Assembly election tribunal had upheld the election of Senator Mao Ohuabunwa.
The court of Appeal faulted the decision of the Tribunal which Earlie upheld the election and ordered a rerun within 90days
