Mr Emmanuel Otum Kalu from Elu Ohafia pulled his kinsmen to Amanyanwu Achara Uturu to pay the bride price of Miss Alice Ngozika Igbokwe, younger sister to Hon. Demian Igbokwe Uturu, the Senior Special Assistant to the Honorable Minister of State, Ministry of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah, OON.
The Bride price payment and wine carrying that was carried out in observation of the social distance protocols was a success. High point of it was when the Royal father of the autonomous community, HRH Eze Simion Chukwuemeka, IHE 1 of Imobi, blessed the couple and admonished the young chaps on the roles to achieve an ideal home in marriage.
Hon. Igbokwe who stand the gab of the father of the house advised the couple to be tolerant and patient in everything they do and to put God first in all their pursuit. He also blessed the marriage and expressed happiness as he said the marriage was divinely arranged to build more bridges between Uturu ancient kingdom and the Ohafia people.
The marriage which white wedding is coming up by tomorrow in Ohafia had been planned to hold since 11th and 13 April 2020, but was postponed due to the global threat Coronavirus.
