The people of Phalga Constituency 3 in Rivers State may be getting ready for another election,as the Rivers State House Of Assembly election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja has FIXED 10th October 2015 as a day for final address of parties in the petition brought by Chima Nnokam of the APC.
Prince Chima Nnokam is challenging the declaration of Hon.Victor Ihunwo as the winner of the April 11th State Assembly election for Portharcourt Constituency three at the Rivers State House of Assembly.
Hon. Victor Ihunwo Independent National Electoral Commsion(INEC) and PDP all brought only 7 witnesses out of which 5 were voters who voted during the April state Assembly Election in Phalga Constituency 3.
At todays sitting of the Tribunal,one of the witnesses admitted that the APC won in unit 3 ,Ward 15 with 87 votes against 72 of the PDP.
Both Petioner Prince Chima Nnokam and all the respondents have today closed their case,following the confession by PDP that they had no single witness to will aide their defense.
The Tribunal gave 10th October as the date to address all the parties involved in the petition,thereafter,the Tribunal will fix a date for Judgement.
