Edo State Gov. Obaseki takes oath of office for second term

On Thursday the Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has been sworn-in for a second term in office.

Obaseki was sworn-in at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin city, the state capital.

The Edo State incumbent governor had defeated his closest rival, Pastor Osagie Ize-Iyamu during the last governorship election in the state.

Obaseki, who was the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, had defeated Ize-Iyamu of the All Progressives Congress, APC.
