Gov Ben Ayade sacks aides, makes new appointments

The Cross River state Governor, Ben Ayade has sacked his Special Assistant on Media, Miss Ursula Agbor

The sack was contained in a statement issued on Wednesday by the Chief Press Secretary to Gov Ayade, Christian Ita.

The statement directed Miss Agbor to handover every government property in her possession to the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to the Governor..

In the same vein, Gov Ayade has approved the immediate suspension of Chairman of the Cross River Internal Revenue Service, Mr. Akpanke A. Ogar.

Consequently, His Excellency has directed the Auditor General of the state, Mr John Odey to immediately take over as the acting chairman of the Service.

In another development, Gov Ayade has restate his administration commitment and will no longer tolerate any slack from commissioners and heads of departments, agencies and parastatals

Consequently, His Excellency is by this announcement requesting voluntary resignations commissioners and heads of departments, agencies and parastatals who manifest the capacity or will to deliver on their mandates.

“His Excellency believes that it is dignifying to resign honourably and quietly than to be relieved of appointment,” the statement added.
