Out-going governor of Abia state has started what pundits call last seconds appointments in less that 19days to the expiration of his tenure,according to a statement released by his Chief Press Secretary Mr.Charles Agunwa,Prof Nwachukwu Isreal is now the New Medical Director of Abia state University Teaching Hospital

GOVERNMENT SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT
1. His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Abia State, Chief T.A. Orji, has approved the appointment of Prof. Nwachukwu Israel Kanu as the new Medical Director of the Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH), Aba.
2. The Governor has also approved the appointment of Dr. Uwadilachi Iweha as the Chief Medical Director of the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
3. Also, the Governor has approved the constitution of a new Board for the Abia State Specialist Hospital and Diagnostic Centre, Umuahia.
They are as follows:
1. Prof. A.U.Mbanaso – Chairman
2. Engr. Rich Onyeaso – Member
3. Dr. Abali Chukwu – Member
4. Mr. Ifeanyi Agbai – Member
5. Charles Okwudili- Member
The new Board will be sworn-in in due course.
