Polce arrest man for killing fellow during argument

The police have arrested a suspect, Noah Akorgwu, for allegedly stabbing a 50-year-old man to death during an argument.SNNMetro learnt that the suspect, 51-year-old Akorgwu, had visited a bar situated on Gado Nasko Road, Kubwa, Abuja, on Christmas Day where he met the victim, identified as John Akor.Our correspondent learnt that an argument had ensued between the two during which Akorgwu allegedly used a broken bottle to stab Akor in the neck region at about 7.30pm.

It was gathered that the victim, who was said to be working with the Federal Fire Service in Abuja, was rushed to the General Hospital, Kubwa, where he later died.

Supreme News gathered that other customers at the bar, one of them identified as Emmanuel Omale, reported the matter at the Kubwa Police Division.

The Federal Capital Territory Commissioner of Police, Wilson Inalegwu, said the suspect would soon be arraigned in court.

He said, “While celebrating Christmas in the bar, an argument ensued and the suspect used a broken bottle to stab Akor, who was confirmed dead in a hospital. Akorgwu will soon be arraigned in court for culpable homicide.”
