Barely 24 hours after the In dependent National electoral commission succumded to pressure from the Presidency to shift the general elections formerly scheduled to hold on 1th and 28th of this Month.Promise Uzoma Okoro has uncovered plot by the Presidency to sack Prof.Attahiru Jega,a top source at the presidency revealed the Plot exclusively to Promise Uzoma Okoro this morning. The source said the President was rattled over the refusal of INEC chairman to take instructions from President Jonathan.

It will be recalled that Inec has slated the election this year but forces within the Presidency and PDP adviced the President to shift the election due to the defeat suffered by the President on several opinion Poll organized by AIT and other social media platforms.

Promise Uzoma Okoro gathered that the National Security adviser has publicly adviced INEC to postpone the election citing lack of readiness by the security agencies because of its attack against the insurgent group BOKOHAM. Another reason my source noted was because of the distribution of Permitted Voters Card which INEC has stated that the North has collected a total sum beyond the country in general.

Recall that council of state has asked INEC to consult with relevant bodies before deciding whether or not to shift the election. During a meeting with all the Resident commissioners of INEC, Inec announced the decision to shift the election to March 28th and April 11 Respectively.

Promise Uzoma Okoro exclusively gathered that the move for Jega’s replacement was pushed by a Top PDP loyalist from the South who fears that Inec Chairman has lost Loyalty. The man who has been positioned to take over from Jega is Prof. Femi Mimiko, former Vice Chancelloer of  Ajasin University who is also the elder Brother of Governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo state and a PDP supporter.

The All Progreesive Congress is yet to come up with final decision over the plans of the Presidency. Prof.Jegas tenure as INEC chairman is expected to elapsed in June this year, but the Presidency might come up with an option just like it did to the present Emir of Kano Lamido Sanusi.
