Promise Uzoma Okoro gathered from a source close to the victims that trouble started when the convoy of the governor was passing through Emekuku in the state stopped on over allegation that they blocke the Road.

According to the Victims currently recuperating in the hospital after being taken to Fire Service station of the Nigeria Police Imo state comman” Governor Okorocha came out from his car and asked his security to beat me and my wife up. I asked him his excellency why are you here and they are hitting my wife with AK47? The governor said i deserve the beating because i was drunk and i said i was not.He asked me to open my mouth and he put his nose on my mouth and said hymmm you are drunk’ I said its not possible sir.He ordered his security men to urinate inside my mouth into my mouth before people started gathering and started shouting at him before thdy left”.
PUO learnt that the man and his wife an adant supporter of Chief Emeka Ihedioha of the PDP were returning from Obowo to Owerri before they met the convoy of the governor around Emekuku area of the city.
