The Bayelsa Development Forum is making an elaborate plan to host President Goodluck Jonathan to a heroic reception in the state at the expiration of his tenure.In a statement by the Secretary General of the body, Chief Ebimo Anderson, in Yenagoa said it had already sent a written letter to the Bayelsa State government to intimate it of its plan to host the reception for the president and to also request the support of the Dickson-led restoration government to enable the group effectively mobilize Bayelsans across the the state to turn out en-mass for the event.
While applauding the achievements of the Jonathan administration in national cohesion and economic development, the group said, the president’s record of service to the nation will not easily be forgotten.
“As Ijaw people and proud Bayelsans, even though, we are deeply pained by the loss of our son at the polls, we are grateful to God and Nigerians for entrusting one of our own with the responsibility of leading this great nation at a time, when it was thought impossible that a minority from the South South will hold the highest office in the land.
“We are indeed glad that, President Jonathan did not disappoint us as a nation by his sterling leadership and in the process making history,” it stated.
