Like a rolling stone and an uncontrolled locomotive, he has embarked on a journey aimed at an indecent proposal. This time around, he made a stop over at the Supreme Court, as an uninvited guest of the Chief Justice of the Federation, Justice Mahmud Mohammed.

Barrister Nyesom Wike, a lawyer by the books does not need any one to lecture him on the sanctity of the office of the CJN, especially when he has several election petition cases against him.
This unholy visit in the holy month of fasting for Muslims, including the CJN, has attracted several knocks in the media.
What was the real motive behind these failed mission of the governor whose name according to his followers, has become synonymous with the judiciary. He is conversant with the judiciary not for his exceptional feats as a lawyer but for his knowledge of how best to obtain even the most difficult judgment such as the one given by Justice Lambo Akanbi on the Rivers ALGON matter. Wike has his ways with Judges who have a price and can be bought. But the circumstances have changed. He is yet to wake up to the reality that his anchor man, Adoke Bello, former Attorney General of the federation is no longer in office. There is no more presidential backing and no more Mama Peace said.
His reasons for making an unwarranted visit to the exalted office of our Lord is far from the truth. Otherwise, why would he choose to go by himself to ‘thank’ the CJN for sending the Bayelsa CJ for his oath-taking as governor, and for the issue of the extension of the tenure of the Rivers acting CJ?
What is the function of his Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Chinwe Aguma?
In this age of information technology, couldn’t he have booked an appointment with the CJN through telephone or email? Haba! Wike!
There is definitely a sinister motive behind this visit. If speculations in the camp of the Rivers APC are right, then the President must investigate the matter. It cannot be swept under the carpet. The office of the CJN only condemned his unholy visits when the media became awash with the reports, almost two weeks after the incident.
My worry is that there may be a plot to derail and denigrate the CJN for his seemingly difficult position on corruption.
If Wike’s visit is unconnected to attempted bribery as he claimed that he would have gone in the night and not day time, were it to be so, then there was really no cogent and verifiable reasons for him to embark on such expedition, especially when he claims that he would win a rescheduled election in the state.
There is no reason to hide his feats while exposing his fears for a possible cancellation of the shambolic elections that took place in Rivers state.
There is definitely palpable fear in the mind of the controversial governor as his dear wife has even begged women to pray for him. He needs more than prayers to survive the tsunami at the law courts over his election where he was allocated over 1 million votes contrary to the report of the central server of INEC which shows less than 300 thousand voters were eligible to vote after proper accreditation with the Card Readers.
This august visit of the governor is a pointer that he is afraid of the outcome of the coming rerun elections as the factors that aided him to victory are non existent now.
Even though he has been banned from such visits by the office of the CJN, that may not be a definite answer to a man comparable to the Sultan of Brunei in terms of wealth. Both the APC and the Judiciary may have to go beyond the ban to cage him or else, there will be a colossal damage to them. This JOHNNIE WALKER is definitely on the match again!
