The National Assembly election Tribunal has struck out the Pre-liminary objection brought by the candidate of PDP in Rivers East Senatorial District Sen.Olaka Wogu seeking for a dismissal of the petition brought before it by the candidate of the APC in the Senatorial District Sen.Magnus Abe on grounds that his party did not comply with the 21days as stipulated in Section 85(1) of the Electoral Act.
The Tribunal held that the motion brought by the PDP lacks merit, The chairman of the panel immediately ordered For Pre-trial of the Petition brought by the APC.
The Tribunal has begun the Pre-trial of Abe’s petition as of the time of filling in this Report.
