| Dr.Philip Nto,Past Finance Commissioner In Abia State |

Registered farmers in Abia State have cried to the State and federal government over the distribution of the 1billion naira federal agriculture loan to farmers in the state.
They are however pointing accusing fingers to the immediate past Abia state commissioner for finance Dr. Philip Nto
The farmers are accusing the ex-commissioner of pocketing bulk sum of the loan money and sharing a paltry sum to them.
Some of the farmers who spoke to newz men in Umuahia said they were given N50,000 but made to sign for N200,ooo, while others claimed to have singed N1,000 000 against N300,000 which was not paid to them.
On a further inquiry, they said that they were not paid the money, adding that “we believed it was out of the magnanimity of the ex-commissioner.
However some of the educated farmers among them claimed that they signed for currect amount given to them, as some of them got between five hundred thousand and one million Naira.
BUSINESS NEWS check revealed that NTO’S Wife and some of her friends were seen parading loan forms asking their friends to sign to ensure that the money is accounted for.
A farmer who prayed for anonymity alleged that he was given three hundred thousand naira but filled a form that he benefited N1 million.
Nto who hails from Arochukwu local government of Abia state is a lecturer at the Michael okpara University of Agriculture Umudike (MOUAU) before his appointment as the finance commissioner in Abia State government cabinet.
