Residents and indegens of Okogbe Community in Ahoada West Local Government Area in Rivers State no longer sleep with their two eyes closed,following the level of insecurity in the Area as hoodlums has taken over the entire community.
Few days ago,some group of cultist suspected to have been used during the April Governorship Election by some politicians held siege to the Community,shooting sporadically and destroying properties worth millions of naira.
Two people has been confirmed DEAD and scores of people wounded are currently hospitalized in some local Hospitals in the Area,it was gathered that the cultist suspected to be ISLAND members has threatened not to stop until the whole community is wiped out.

The Caretaker Committee Chairman Mr.Ikechukwu Ogbuzor is yet to take any proactive step in curbing the menace of insecurity in the community which is a major part of the Ahoada Local Government Area where he oversees as a Caretaker Chairman.
One of the Community Leaders who spoke to PUO REPORTS wondered why the security agencies and the Council authorities are yet take urgent step to restore sanity and flush out the cult groups that has been terrorizing the Okogbe Community

Recall that during the bid up to the May 23 Local Government Elections in Rivers State,some suspected cultist carried out a failed assassination attempt on the life of a Former Rivers State Commissioner for Local,Chieftaincy and Community Affairs Mr.Samuel Eyiba.
