Former Governor of Rivers State and the man who made the emergence of President Mohammadu Buhari easy Rt Hon.Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has created international recogniztion since last week his name was announced as one of the first batch of Ministerial nomimees to be screened by the Nigeria SENATE.

Amaechi has not found it easy among his political enemies, one of such was when a Senator Representing Rivers South Senatorial District in the National Assembly Sen. George Thompson Sekibo tried smuggling in a petition written by a group called Integrity led by one Livinstone Wechie, which portrayed Amaechi as being corrupt.

Although Senator George Sekibo received the abuse of his life, when some northern Senators shouted angrily at him on why he should try stopping a man who was nearly destroyed by the former Adminstration headed by Goodluck Ebele  Jonathan.

The Senate last week asked the Ethics and priveleges Commitee headed by a Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) Senator from Imo State Senator Samdaddey Anyanwu to advice the Senate on what steps it should take in screening Amaechi.

The Commitee had last week said it cannot intrude into a matter that is pending in court, but suprising to many on Tuesday plenary Senate President Bukola Saraki told the world that the commitee report was not yet ready, saying by Wednesday the report will be Ready on Amaechi.

On Wednesday morning, the Senate President yet again said the report was not ready, because the commitee was  unable to meet yesterday due to the Screening exercise being conducted.

PUO REPORTS Tried investigating this development, and the result of my investigation showed the Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi was originally slated for Screening on Thursday, but the Senate President Senator Bukola Saraki asked the committee to submit it reports fast to enable the Senator conclude with the First batch of Ministerial Nominees within two days.

That developemnt led to the general view that Amaechi will Screened on Tuesday.

Already some of Amaechi supporters has started expressing fears, but a close source to the Senate President told PUO REPORTS that the commitee’s delay in bring up its reports may not be unconnected to the fact that the members of that commitee is expecting the Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike to pay wholesomely, since stopping Amaechi seems his desired action.

The Senate will conduct screening for Amaechi and two others at plenary tomorow
