The Incorporated Trustees of Assemblies Of God Nigeria had instituted a direct criminal case against Chief Paul Emeka after the Nigerian Police Force failed to produce the outcome of its Investigation over the allegation of forgery against Chief Emeka.
Chief Paul Emeka had been alleged to have forged a University of Derby Professorial Certificate in 2005 which he presented to Assemblies Of God Nigeria.
The Nigerian Police Force were petitioned, but forces from corrupt outgoing President of the Christian Association of Nigeria Ayo Oristejafor though the former Inspector General Of Police refused making the outcome of its Investigation Public.
It will be recalled that the Upper Area Court had on the 4th of February ordered the Nigerian Police Force to arrest Chief Paul Emeka and produce him for trial.
But in his desperation to stop the trial,Chief Paul Emeka rushed to the Federal High Court 34 presided over by Justice K.N Ogbonnaya to obtain an order stopping the proceedings at the Upper Area Court.
At the last hearing in June,Paul Emeka’s Counsel had brought the court order, but the absence of the Counsel to the Incorporated Trustees of Assemblies Of God Nigeria prompted the Court to adjourn the case till July 26 2016(Today)
