Contrary to Insinuation in Some Quaters that the Nigerian Police Force under the Leadership of Mr Ibrahim Kpotun Idris has Disobeyed the Directives of the Attorney General of the Federation Mr Abubakar Malami(SAN) in Forwarding of the original case File with Charge Number CR/1081/2015 COP VS Professor Paul Emeka,Investigation by PUO REPORTS has laid to rest that Insinuation.

Recall that the Immediate Past Director Of Public Prosecutions of the Federation Mr. Mohammed Saidu Diri, in a letter dated June 18 addressed to the IGP through the Commissioner of Police IG monitoring unit requested the police to handover the original case file with charge No. CR/1081/2015‎ COP Vs Proffessor Paul Emeka back to the Minister of Justice and Attorney of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, SAN, for prosecution.

However Investigation carried out by PUO REPORTS has shown that the Letter with the Head DPP/ADV:248/16 dated 18th June 2016 did not get to the table of the Former Inspector General Of Police Mr Solomon Arase who was still the Inspector General Of Police as at the time when the letter was sent by the AGF.

Sources at the Registry of the Inspector General Of Police office told PUO REPORTS that the former Staffs at the Registry merely Stamped on the Letter which was Delivered by Mrs Charles Okolie,Prosecutor at the office of the Attorney General and it was not officially entered into the Book.

It was further learnt that a Copy of the Letter only terminated at the Office of the Chief Principal Officer to the Former Inspector General Of Police Mr Solomon Arase.

Although the Letter from the DPP was dated 18th June 2016,the stamp on the acknowledgement copy PUO REPORTS sighted was 19th July 2016,thereby substantiating this investigative report.

A High Profiled Police Officer at the Force Headquarters Abuja who spoke to PUO REPORTS on strict condition of anonymity revealed that a Former General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Paul Emeka placed 10 Senior Police officers on Monthly Salaries to avoid being arraigned in Court,as according to him,he made confessional statements admitting to have forged the University of Derby Professorial Certificate in 2005.

Efforts to get the comments of the Police Public Relations Officer DCP Don Awunah to comment on the story proved abortive as his Mobile Lines were not reachable.

The current Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State, Peace Ibekwe Abdallah, who was a former Commissioner of Police IG Monitoring Unit headed the team that investigated the forgery case and sources confirmed that the accused confessed to the crime and even wrote it boldy on a piece of paper. “I, Rev Paul Emeka, forged the said proffesorial certificate”, which is together with the case file.

Other members of the team that took part in the investigation include CSP Tapida Bako, DSP Victor C Nwadike and Inspector Isaac Fyneboy Sources at the Legal Department of the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja revealed that part of the recommendation of the Former Commissioner Of Police Legal Mr. Nwodibo Ekechukwu was for the Police to charge the accused to court for Forgery. A Source at the Nigerian Police Force Headquarters in Abuja clearly stated that a former Inspector General of Police, Mr Solomon Arase, compromised in the case which gave a lot of senior officers the go ahead to treat the case with disdain.
