Ahead of the December 10 2016 date fixed by the Independent National Electoral Commission(INEC) for the Completion of the Rerun National and State House of Assembly Election In Rivers State,the Peoples Democratic Party wants INEC To shift the Poll.
A Top Official of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) revealed that the Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party in Rivers State had approached the electoral body for a Postponement of the December 10 Date fixed for the Election.
PUO REPORTS gathered that the inability of the stage managed arrest of the Director of Help-Mate Consult Atonye Peters for allegedly printing of fake result sheets purportedly to be used in the rescheduled rerun elections in the state, to get National Sympathy also did not go down well with the Leadership of the PDP.
It was also gathered that Governor Nyesom Wike has lost romance with a Senatorial Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) in the state,who is being rumoured to be finalizing move to defect to the All Progressive Congress(APC) immediately after wining the Senatorial Rerun.
Although the Senate mandated INEC to Conduct the Rerun Elections in Rivers State on or before the 10th of December 2016,it is not yet clear if the electoral body will adhere to the ultimatum or shift the poll for reasons which the commission may know.
