The Nigeria Police Force has explained that it redeployed the Chief Security Officer (CSO) to the Rivers State Governor, Nyeson Wike, due to professional misconduct.
It would be recalled that few days ago, Governor Wike raised the alarm that the Nigeria Police Force has removed his security officer.
In a statement by the Force Spokesman, Don Awunah, the police clarified that the CSO, DSP Promise Nwosu, was sighted among members of the opposition party in the state participating in a peaceful protest, which according to him is unexpected of a police officer.
“It will be recalled that on November 17, during the peaceful demonstrations of an opposition party in the state- All Progressives Congress (APC), the Chief Security Officer to the governor, DSP Promise Nwosu, was found among the protesting party faithful in a manner prejudicial to discipline and displaying conduct unexpected of an officer of his calibre and office.”
