The Senate has confirmed the appointment of Mr. Anthony Ayine as Auditor-General of the Federal.
Ayeni’s nomination for the position by President Muhammadu Buhari in December had been rejected by the workers union in the Office of the Auditor General of the Federation.
As a result of the protest, which also involved a coalition of civil society organisations, the office was shut for three hours.
