Justice O O Tokode of the Federal High Court sitting in Benin,the Edo State Capital Yesterday May 8 2017 Ordered Rev Joel Okoegele a Former Edo District Superintendent to Pay N150,000 To Assemblies Of God Edo District.
Rev Joel Okoegele had on behalf of a Former General Superintendent of Assemblies Of God Nigeria Rev Paul Emeka sued Rev P.T Ekeasi,the Edo District Superintendent,Rev Okpara Inworogu,Rev Albert Abumere Okaka,Rev Ikemefuna Chiejina,Rev Chime,Rev Ighodalo Alfred and Rev Stephen Abhulime claiming his Fundamental Human Rights were breached and that the Court should award him N500 Million as Damages.
The Case In Suit No FHC/B/CS/15/2015 was Stuck out by Justice Tokode on grounds that the Supreme Court Judgement which went in favour of Assemblies Of God led by Rev Dr Chidi Okoroafor has rendered the suit filed in 2015 Useless.
Rev. Joel Okoegele Lawyers Barr B.E Ambrose and Miss O O Ozabor also surrendered and vowed not to take up any case again for Paul Emeka’s Followers in order not to risk their carriers Since the Supreme Court has decided the Leadership tussle that rocked Assemblies Of God Nigeria .
