Abia State Governor Dr Okezie has revealed that his Late Chief Of Staff Sir Chijioke Uzoma Nwakodo was the engine room of his Government.

Ikpeazu made this remark while Speaking on Saturday September 23rd 2017 at the Ibeku High School Umuahia during the burial Service of Late Sir Chijioke Uzoma Nwakodo Chief of Staff to Abia State Governor between 2015 and 2017.

Ikpeazu said the Death of his Late Chief of Staff was one that really struck him too bad, because the Late Chief of Staff was one that looked at him and say”Governor you are Wrong” this is the right way

“One of my most difficult assignments as Governor has been to preside over the burial of my brother, my friend, my ally and my most trusted confidant, Chijioke Nwakodo.
Apart from the death of my own parents, no other death has hit me the hardest and caused me the most pain.

“Chijioke was my engine room, my buffer, my strategist and my organizer. He was a huge pillar of support. We would not be where we are today but for Chijioke’s contributions and masterful navigation of the project. He was a bulwark and an intellectual giant”.

“Perhaps, what set Chijioke apart from others is that he is the kind of man that would look me straight in the eyes and tell me MR GOVERNOR, WHAT YOU PLAN TO DO IS WRONG. PLEASE TAKE ANOTHER LOOK AT IT. This is the kind of man that I have lost.
He is not the type that kowtows to you all the time till you enter into trouble. He speaks the truth to you. Always”.

“This is the kind of man that I have lost.
Yes, there are men all over the place but trustworthy and reliable men are few. Chijioke’s death has robbed me greatly. I feel personally diminished”.the Governor Said
