Ikpeazu meets Abia Pensioners,clarifies over usage of Bail Out Funds

Abia State Governor Dr Okezie Ikpeazu today met with Hundreds of Pensioners in Abia State at the Michael Okpara Auditorium Umuahia.

Ikpeazu said his Governemnt gave Abia Workers 110% of the Bailout Fund the Abia State Government Received from the Federal Government in 2015

“We gave Abia workers 100% of the bailout fund we got in 2015”.
“Also we got N10.6b from the first tranche of the Paris Club Refund, and gave 50% plus of the fund to workers and pensioners”.

“Recently we got N5.7b as the 2nd tranche of the Paris Club Refund and we gave 100% of the received fund to workers and pensioners.
“On the whole, we got N16b from the 1st (N10.6b) and 2nd tranche (N5.7b) of Paris Funds Refunds and we gave Abia workers and pensioners N11b”.

Ikpeazu said the State Government can effieicntly pay workers up to date Salaries when Ghost Workers are fished out among the Workforce

“This is why we want pensioners and workers to help government to fish-out thieves and ghost workers. We also want to hear directly from you on how we can do things better working together.” He Said
