Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Rivers state who feel cheated under the leadership of the Minister of  Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi have been advised to leave the party.
Former Deputy Speaker of the Rivers state House of Assembly, Leyii Kwanee also said the crack in the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the state was not strange under a formidable political party.

Kwanee said these while speaking with newsmen at the Port Harcourt International Airport.

Kwanee who represented Khana Constituency 11 in the State Assembly also noted that changes in the leadership of the APC in some local government areas of the state were aimed at giving opportunities to younger leaders.
He said those seeking elective positions ahead of the 2019 general elections have the right to do so.

“Any time there is a gathering it is natural for a leader to emerge. So if new leaders emerge, it is nothing anyone should raise eyebrows for.
APC in Rivers state is one and will remain so under the leadership of the Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and anyone who is not comfortable with that should use the exit door. It is as simple as that.

“Some of our friends and brothers who are grumbling and taking actions that may affect the party’s fortunes should go to the other side and allow those of us who want remain here to work.”
On the Governorship ambition of Senator Magnus Abe, Kwanee said, “Senator Abe is an illustrious son of Ogoni and he has the right to be ambitious. Ambition is free but it is also important to note that there are other illustrious Ogoni sons.”
