A former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Anyim Pius, may spend some more weeks with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Channels Television has gathered.
This comes as the EFCC has obtained a court warrant to keep him in its custody, where he is being grilled for allegedly collecting 520 million Naira from a former National Security Adviser, Colonel Sambo Dasuki – a source in the anti-graft agency who pleaded anonymity said.
The former SGF, who was arrested on Thursday last week, is also accused of fraudulent contract award amounting to 13 billion Naira, as well as false declaration of assets.
Before now, Mr Anyim had been summoned by the House of Representatives over his role in the controversial centenary city project during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, when he served as the SGF.
