Corps Members have been advised to always abide by the tenets of NYSC bye laws while discharging their statutory duties in their places of primary assignments and within their host communities.

The Director-General of National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, stated this today when he visited the 2017 Batch ‘B’ Stream One Corps Members at the Orientation Camp in Wamakko, Sokoto State.

He said there was the need to abide by the code of conduct of the NYSC Scheme that was prepared to guide Corps Members throughout their service year.

He added that they should imbibe diligence and sincerity as qualities that would take them to greater heights.

Kazaure also urged the Corps members to pay attention to every programme during the Orientation period adding that they would enhance their performances throughout the service year.

Speaking further, he enjoined them to adjust to Camp life and pay attention to Skills Acquisition lectures which would enable them become job entrepreneurs.

The DG said, “Don’t forget that there are rules and regulations guiding you as Corps Members. Adjust your programmes and make sure you respect the culture and tradition of your host communities”.

Sokoto State Coordinator, Alhaji Musa Abubakar while welcoming Kazaure said the 2,241 Corps Members in camp had shown interest in the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training.
