Criticize Ikpeazu,But Don’t De-Market Abia –Commissioner Of Information Charge Online Media Practitioners

The Commissioner For Information in Abia State Hon John Okiyi Kalu has charged  Online Media Practitioners in Abia State not to De-market Abia entirely in an attempt to draw attention where Government Presence is needed.

The Information Boss in Abia State Stated this when he granted audience to Members of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria(Abia State Chapter)in his Office  at the Ministry Of Information Umuahia on Wednesday 28th of November 2017.

Members of the Online Media Practitioners of Nigeria(Abia State Chpater) who were led by its President Mr James Anyalekwa Emeh of IGBERRE TV said they were at the Ministry Of Information Umuahia to Congratulate Hon John Okiyi Kalu on his appointment by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu as the Abia State Commissioner For Information.

“We are here to show Solidarity to the Commissioner For Information in Abia State Sir John Okiyi Kalu and to thank the Governor for appointing an Online Media Guru as the Abia State Commissioner for Information”

Speaking Further the President of the Online Media Practititioner of Nigeria Abia State Chapter urged the Commissioner for Information to see his appointment as an act of God and use his Position to ensure proper Management of Information System in the State.

The Commissioner for Information in his reaction charged Media Practitioners Especially those Online TO ensure reportage of factul Information on their Various Platforms

“I want to appreciate this Association which I am also part of, for moving the Social Media from “Lol” to a Money Making Venture”

“My Message is not do not Criticise Abia State Government,but do not destroy Abia in other to Build”

“I will tell Myself the Truth and Tell Abians the Truth,this Government will Inform Abians Truthfully’ He Said

The Government Regretted a Situation where a Blogger now Respond on behalf of a Politician,advising members of the Abia State Chapter of the Online Media Practitioners on the need to maintain Partisanship in discharge of the Duties.

“It is very wrong  for a Blogger to Speak for a Politician,allow Politicians to play their Politics while as a Blogger you report whatever they say”

Mr Promise Uzoma Okoro ,the Public Relations Officers of the Abia State Chapter of the Online Media Practitioners,in his Vote of thanks  on  behalf of the Association’ thanked the Abia State Commissioner For Information for granting members of the Association audience despite his Busy Schedules.

The Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Information Elder Ifeanyi Agbai,Director of Information in Abia State,Some Head of Department in the Ministry of Information among others were on ground during the Visit by the Online Media Group.
