In their quest to ensure that the ongoing South East Political resurgimento through the all Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) is effectively consolidated, the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, and the 2015 Abia APGA governorship candidate, Dr. Alex Otti OFR were at the Alex Ekwueme square Awka, Anambra state yesterday in solidarity with the former National Chairman of the party, and the APGA Candidate for the January 13th Anambra Central Senatorial Re-reun election, Chief Victor Umeh who kicked off his campaign for the senatorial election billed for 13th January, 2017.
Speaking at the occasion, Governor Obiano expressed joy and appreciation to all who played one role or the other for his victory in the just concluded governorship election, which he described as 21/21, and and disclosed that APGA swept the entire 21 LGAs because of the message Late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu left behind for APGANS.
He made it clear that the entire APGA family would stand by Chief Victor Umeh (Ohamadike) during the Senatorial election, and made it clear that he Governor Obiano would personally serve as Chief Umeh’s campaign DG to ensure absolute victory.
Governor Obiano who welcomed dozens of decampees into APGA, called on Progressive South East political leaders who are yet to identify with APGA to do so, expresseing the determination of APGA to take over the enire South East.
In his speech, the 2015 Abia APGA Guber Candidate, Dr. Alex Otti OFR thanked Governor Willie Obiano for redeeming APGA through his performance which led to a flawless victory, and disclosed that APGA Abia state had in the spirit of celebration held a victory rally in Umuahia.
Dr. Otti specially thanked Chief Victor Umeh (Ohamadike) for his doggedness and forthrightness, assuring that he and the entire APGA family would remain fully involved come January 13th when Chief Umeh would be returned as Senator for Anambra Central.
Also speaking, the wife of the Late Dim Odumegwu Ojukwu and former Nigerian Ambassador to Spain, Her Excellency, Chief Mrs. Bianca Odumegwu Ojukwu thanked Ndi Anambra, for performing miracles and restoring the pride of the Igbo nation.
She said that by fighting doggedly and ensuring the re-election of Chief Obiano, Ndi Anambra proved that indeed, the might a of warrior is tested in battle, and assured that the same victory is coming to APGA Abia state and other South East states come 2019.
Mrs. Ojukwu challenged Ndi Anambra Central to repeat the same feat come January 13th by electing Chief Victor Umeh, assuring that he would represent the people well.
Dr. Otti was accompanied to the event by members of the Abia APGA SWC, Stakeholders and dozens of supporters.
