Wike Proposes $1Bn Fund To Tackle Regional Environmental Challenges

The Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike is seeking for the withdrawal of money from the excess crude account to tackle environmental challenges in the Niger Delta.

The governor made his stands known when reacting to the one billion dollars approved for the FG by the governors’ forum to fight Insurgency.

He said while he supports the fight against Insurgency but the approval is illegal.

The governor revealed this after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Aso Villa, Abuja.
