A former Governor of Abia state and a chieftain of All Progressives Congress, Orji Uzor Kalu has told Senator Theodore Orji to release Governor Okezie Ikpeazu in bondage to enable him work for the people of the state.
Kalu who decried the developmental backwardness of the state under the present PDP-led government,said Ikpeazu could not achieve anything within two and half years due his in captivity.
Speaking during a mega rally organized by the Abia state leadership of All Progressives Congress held in Umuahia township stadium on Tuesday, Kalu said the PDP-led adiminstation has destroyed all apparatus of government in the state,lamented the sorry state of Abia workers because non payment salaries, pensions by Governor Ikpeazu.
He said that during his reign, workers, pensioners were being paid as at when due,pupils and students were offered free education, boasted that come 2019 general election, Abia will be delivered to APC.
Assuring the national leadership of the party of their resolve and determination to deliver Abia to APC, Kalu said that APC will win the three senatorial zones in the state.
Kalu advised the newly defected House members not to be perturbed, vowing that the Party will use Federal Might on anyone who disturbed them for joining APC.
“House of Assembly Members that decamp to APC,I can assure you nothing will happen to you People,Anybody that tries you guys,We will use Federal Might against Them
“We will deliver the Three Senatorial Seats,all House of Representatives Seats,all House of Assembly Seats and The Governorship to APC”.
